Darryl S. Feldman Date of birth: |
I have a track record of over 15 years experience of working in the Internet/New Media industry working for a wide variety of companies from small agencies to large global corporates. My initial focus was on the design and development of solutions but soon switched to leadership roles where I led multidisciplinary teams to develop multimedia applications, online campaigns, web sites and desktop software. In recent years my role has become business orientated, recently responsible for running tsoosayLabs and launching ShopWindoz. My key area of strength is the ability to define effective business and product strategies and then to motivate and lead teams to deliver extraordinary results. I am fascinated by the social aspect of the web and the impact 'web 2.0' is having on peoples' behaviour online, and believe new business models will emerge soon that will monetise this. I am married with two daughters and live in Berlin. |
Strengths:
|
tsoosayLabs GmbH I pitched the concept of ShopWindoz to investors, which led to me securing a first round of investment of 1 Million Euro. I was then hired to set up and run this new startup and to concieve and develop a new social commerce platform, ShopWindoz. I successfully built a team which included technical, sales & marketing, legal and financial staff. We launched the platform in 7 months, ahead of schedule and under budget. Today the platform already has over 200 sellers with new shops joining and sales being made daily. |
Yahoo! Acting as part of the European management team, I led a multidisciplinary team of 40 people who were responsible for the creation, development and optimisation of Yahoo’s global platforms and search technologies. My focus was to extend Yahoo's European product portfolio, which included both developing new products specific to Europe and localising US platforms. Key achievements were the roll out of an improved Yahoo! News platform, Yahoo! Sports, the new Yahoo! home page and the official FIFA worldcup web site. Whilst I was there Yahoo! acquired Kelkoo and so my remit expanded to manage this commerce platform and team based in Norway. |
Sapient I was leading a team of 60 professionals with skills ranging from market research through to front end programming for this global Internet consulting firm. I was responsible in defining a global process and ensuring that solution quality was a key priority. I consulted with clients to identify opportunities in their markets to deliver innovative products and services. In addition, I was the ‘spokesperson’ for the User Experience community and ensured that Sapient maintained it’s position as a leading company by providing thought leadership and industry profile. During my time at Sapient I managed the team through challenging economic conditions, including major organisational changes and restructuring. Clients included: Opodo, Lucent Technologies, Hutchison 3G, UK Government, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Nissan, The Financial Services Authority and BP. |

I grew and developed a 30 people strong team in London, joining the company as employee number 3 during a time of fast growth and Internet boom. During my tenure I was a spokesperson for Organic, writing press articles, making TV appearances, speaking at events and building relationships with educational institutions. Clients included: BT, Daimler Chrysler, Emirates, Hewlett Packard, boo.com, eyestorm.com, Quip!, Etoys, and CDNow. |
